Mansfield U3A's Reading Group first met in April 2001 and the first book was 'Alice in Wonderland'.

Since then, we have read over 160 books, both classic and modern – all of them interesting and most of them enjoyable. We have read several biographies but most of the books we read are fiction. The books are provided by Farnsfield Library.

We meet once a month usually in Farnsfield but sometimes at other member’s homes.

At our friendly meetings, we have tea or coffee and then we discuss the book we have read the previous month; we are then given the book we will read in time for the next meeting.

We now have a couple of vacancies in this group so if anyone is interested in joining us please contact me.
