Classical Music

Status:Active, full but can join waiting list
Coordinator:
When: Monthly on Monday afternoons 2:00 pm-4:00 pm
4th Monday
Venue: Group Coordinator's Home

Mansfield u3a's Classical Music Group meets in the Group Leader's home on the fourth Monday of each month from 14.00 to 16.00 to listen to all types of classical music. Members decide which period or composer they wish to listen to and then provide the music to listen to and discuss.

We have selected music by alphabetical order of composers, and by which month they were born in. In addition, we have chosen themes - Operas, Chamber Music - or instruments - Brass and Wood wind.

It is a most enjoyable way of finding out more about classical music.

Please contact the Group Leader, Mike Allen, if you are interested by using the Enquiry email at the top of the page.

Mansfield and District Male Voice Choir

April 18 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
at St Peter's Church Warsop

£10

The church on the hill in Warsop is an arresting sight. St. Peter and Paul’s has been a venue for the choir on many occasions and with such a fabulous acoustic and participative audience, concerts here are always a success. This will be our first outing of 2026 so we will undoubtedly be presenting a range of new songs learned in the first three months of the year.
It is sure to be an enjoyable evening – come long and let the music wash over you.

We are once again, to be joined by the beautifully harmonious Latvian Ladies Choir, Novadi (which translates as Counties) under the leadership of Helmuts Feldmanis.

Mansfield Melodic Moments

Wednesday 22 April 2026

Mansfield Museum

1:30pm

We are delighted to be bringing our popular Melodic Moments series to Mansfield in 2026! Each month between March and July, come and join us at Mansfield Museum for an afternoon of calm, companionship, and beautiful music.

What is Melodic Moments?

Melodic Moments is a relaxed series of afternoon concerts presented by Sinfonia Viva, designed to be welcoming, inclusive and accessible to everyone.

These daytime performances are especially suited to people who may find evening concerts difficult to attend. Audiences are encouraged to come as they are, whether attending alone or with family members, children, parents, or friends. The series is particularly supportive of people living with dementia and those who care for them, offering a calm, friendly environment where shared musical experiences can flourish.

Each concert features beautifully performed live music in an intimate, informal setting, giving space to pause, connect, and enjoy the joy of music together.
