Antiques and Collectables

Status:Active, open to new members
Coordinator:
When: On Tuesday mornings 10:00 am-12:00 pm
2nd Tuesday
Venue: St Peter's Centre

The group meets once a month and there is a different topic each time. Members bring along an item relating to the subject. It is helpful if they have done some research on the item and can tell the rest of the group about it. In that way we all learn and expand our knowledge. If you haven't got anything that month it doesn't matter because you will learn from what others have brought.

The subjects and objects are varied, not necessarily of great value!

Pat Blackwell, the founder of the Group, has retired and Sue Longden has offered to become the leader from now on. All in the group thank Pat for her energy and effort as leader and welcome Sue who is known to have a deep interest in, and knowledge of, Antiques and Collectables.

Did you know that 'collectables' is the correct English spelling for items that are worth collecting, whereas 'collectibles' is more American and refers to anything collected?
