Pathfinder walk - Clipstone Forest Circular

Walk standard
A moderately easy walk, mostly on good, surfaced paths, with a couple of short, steep inclines. There are only a few muddy patches, and the total elevation gain is around 892 feet.

Walk summary
We’ll start from the Vicar Water Country Park car park (small £1 charge – cash or contactless). The route takes us past Flixter Breck before a short climb with views of Clipstone Headstock.

We’ll then continue to the bird sundial sculpture, part of the local art trail by sculptor Chris Cambell before heading downhill, briefly along Crown Farm Way, and back into woodland.

About an hour in, we’ll pause for refreshments, then make our way towards Vicar Pond and back to the car park, with a well-earned coffee at Rumbles Café at the end.
