Renew online in two simple steps
Step 1 – Register (one-time only)
Register for a Members Portal account using Beacon in the menu above or the button below.
Step 2 – Renew each year
Sign in to the Members Portal each year to:
- renew your membership
- update your personal details
- download your digital membership card
Once you've registered, you'll never need to register again unless you change your email address.

Please don't worry if the payment page shows the PayPal logo. We use PayPal simply to process payments securely. You do not need a PayPal account or to sign up for one. Simply choose 'Pay by Debit or Credit Card' (sometimes shown as 'Guest Checkout') to complete your payment.

Do I need a PayPal account?
No. Not at all.
Although the payment page is provided by PayPal, this is simply the secure service we use to process card payments. You do not need a PayPal account and you do not need to create one.
When you reach the payment page, choose Pay by Debit or Credit Card (sometimes called Guest Checkout) and pay using your card as normal.
Your payment is processed securely, and your card details are not shared with Mansfield & District u3a.
Can I pay by credit or debit card?
Yes. Visa, Mastercard and most major debit and credit cards are accepted through PayPal's secure payment system.
I can't remember my password.
Use the Forgotten your password? link on the Members Portal login page to reset it.
I can't see "Renew your membership" in the Members Portal.
The Renew your membership option only appears once the renewal period has opened. Make sure you have signed in to your Members Portal account.
What if I haven't registered for a Members Portal account?
You'll need to register first before you can renew online. Download our Register for a Members Portal Account guide for step-by-step instructions.
What is Gift Aid?
If you're a UK taxpayer and have paid enough Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax, you may be able to allow Mansfield & District u3a to claim Gift Aid on your membership subscription at no extra cost to you. The renewal process explains this in more detail before you decide.
Can I renew in person instead?
Yes. You can renew at our Membership Renewal Day using cash, card or cheque.
What happens after I pay?
A payment confirmation from PayPal
A confirmation email from Mansfield & District u3a, which includes your digital membership card.
Is it safe to renew online?
Yes. Payments are processed securely by PayPal. Mansfield & District u3a does not receive or store your debit or credit card details.
How do I get my membership card
Your digital membership card is emailed to you after you renew online.
Physical membership cards will also be available to collect at monthly meetings from August.
