u3a Regions
u3as across the UK are organised into regions and the nations of Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
The East Midlands includes the counties of:
- Nottinghamshire
- Derbyshire
- Leicestershire & Rutland
- Lincolnshire
- Northamptonshire

The Nottinghamshire Network of u3as
Established in 2009, the Nottinghamshire Network was created to:
- encourage cooperation between local u3as,
- provide support across the county, and
- help launch new u3as.
Today, 33 u3as in Nottinghamshire are part of the Network. Each year, representatives from every u3a (one or two per group) come together for four meetings. These meetings are a chance to:
- share good practice,
- discuss challenges, and
- strengthen connections across the county.
Peer Support & Learning
A key strength of the Network is its Peer Support Groups, where members in similar committee roles meet to exchange ideas and support one another.
In addition, regular workshops are organised to build knowledge and confidence in running a u3a and supporting committee work..
